Shadows-January 14
I learned from the articles that darkness in photos is just as important as light. A lot of photographers focus on light but darkness can also be the focus. For example, shadows can really change the feel of a photo. It can make the photo have a dramatic feel or a somber mood.
The photos are inspiring because they show how effective shadows can be at changing a photos feel entirely. They show different ways you can play with shadows as well and give good ideas about what I could try differently.
Nothingness-January 21
From the video, I learned which settings would be best fro the camera to be set on for doing double exposure and how to put the two images together in photoshop. I really like the way his photos turn out in the video and it inspires me to do something similar.
The article is helpful and makes it a lot clearer on how to get just one subject without the background. I learned about new settings I did not even knew existed.
Cubism-January 25
I think that this art style is very effective at giving a certain mood. In the photograph I edited it looks as if it is a broken mirror and makes it have a somber feel. It also makes the photograph look very complex.
